Hope Aero has invested in the Aero Scan machine – a highly specialized computer-controlled measuring rig that accurately records measurements of the blade. Using the Aero Scan eliminates a workflow blockage that often backs up overhaul jobs at this very time-consuming stage in the process. In less than ten minutes, the Aero Scan can record measurements that would have taken nearly two hours to complete by hand, and generate a computer record of the results. The benefits of this incredible speed and accuracy are passed directly on to our clients, as blades pass quickly to the next stages of inspection and repair.
Shot peening is an important service Hope Aero offers in house to overhaul and repair of propellers. Having shot peening equipment in house saves up to two weeks’ vendor processing time and avoids having to outsource this critical process.
As the only overhaul specialist in the country with in-house anodizing capability, we save our clients the time and added expense that comes with outsourcing this step. Like all of our processes, anodizing in house allows us to ensure this critical step is done to our standards – the first time and every time.
Facility Work Environment
At Hope Aero, we believe providing the best environmental conditions for our technician’s benefits us all. That's why we continue to reinvest in processes, equipment and materials that improve the environmental working conditions for our staff - a benefit to both our technicians and our customers. Our ventilation systems remove stale and contaminated air from work areas while bringing fresh air in. The cranes in our facility allow us to move items quickly and safely between workstations.
The implementation of these processes, equipment and materials have reduced the need for bulky protective equipment which allows our technicians to better focus on the quality of the work. The reduction in the amount of protective equipment allows our technicians to get a better hands on feel for the product they are working on, and it means our technicians can take the time to refine each piece until the best job possible is accomplished. Making the work easier on technicians has made the results better.
